ජනප්‍රිය ගායිකාවක් වන උමාරා සිංහවංශ ඊයේ (30) 2023 ලංකා ප්‍රිමියර් ලීග් තරගාවලියේ (LPL) සමාරම්භක උත්සවයේදී ජාතික ගීය ගායනා කරන අතරතුර එහි පද රචනය වැරදි ලෙස උච්චාරණය කිරීමෙන් පසු මෙරට සමාජ මාධ්‍ය වේදිකා කැළඹී තිබේ.

උමාරා සිය ගායනයේදී ජාතික ගීයේ ‘නමෝ නමෝ මාතා’ කොටස වෙනුවට ‘නමෝ නමෝ මහතා’ ලෙස නැවත නැවතත් ගායනා කරනු දැකගත හැකිය.

ජාතික ගීය මෙලෙස වෙනස්කොට ගැයීම විසින් මේ වන විට දැඩි සේ සමාජ මාධ්‍ය වේදිකා කළඹා ඇති අතර, ඒ වෙනුවෙන් #Mahatha යනුවෙන් හැෂ් ටැගයක්ද නිර්මාණය වී ඇත.
